Mental Performance Coaching for Athletes
See where your mental game ranks. The assessment scores your confidence, focus, and discipline — the numbers we train up until they hold under pressure.

The results
Confidence, focus, and discipline sound vague until you put a number on them. The assessment scores each one 0–100 — then we train the numbers up.
How it works
Not a weekly Zoom call about your feelings — real training, built off your numbers.
In their words

Blake McDonald
Founder, Mental Beast
I did what every serious athlete does: I outworked everyone. Hitting every day, living in the weight room, doing whatever it took physically to become the best version of myself.
Then COVID shut the game down, and for the first time in ten years I had space to reflect. I was proud of how far I'd come, and still I felt empty. My effort wasn't matching the results I felt I deserved, and I couldn't put my finger on why.
The missing piece turned out to be the biggest one: the mind.
So I went as deep into the mental game as I'd ever gone into the physical one, and found a world of possibility I didn't know existed. The codes I learned changed how I played: free, confident, having more fun and competing with more purpose than I'd ever felt. They made me a better teammate and a better person. I even used my mind to heal something my doctor was sure needed surgery. I know how that sounds. I lived it.
The results spoke for themselves. I left junior college a two-time All-American and finished my career at Arizona on a team that won both Pac-12 titles. The truth is, I didn't have the talent to go that far. My mind carried me there. And when my playing days ended, I moved into coaching: first on Arizona's staff during a College World Series run, then at San Diego State, where we won a Mountain West championship in our first year, a 16-win turnaround. The mental game was a part of it.
Almost everything I've wanted these past six years, I've created. Now I work one on one with athletes serious about finding out what it actually takes to become great. Mental Beast is the system we train it with, every day.
